SYNAPTIC'S Lies about Windows Compatibility...
SYNAPTIC
Micro Solutions Cooperative ("Synaptic") has recently increased both the
frequency and intensity of its lies about the
compatibility
of SunType Publishing Systemstm products, as well as its own newspaper
accounting and circulation products, with
current model
computers and operating systems.
This is an apparent attempt to induce users of the older products to
purchase
intimidation.
In a recent fax "marketing piece", Synaptic states: "DOS programs will
not run on Year 2000 [sic], or newer operating
systems adequately." Elwin Red" Coats frequently asserts that the
"DOS" programs don't
work with current operating systems.
This is untrue, all of SunType's
programs work with XP and Windows 2000. See our tech notes for
