Version 4.3 Release Notes Introduction...

Version 4.3 incorporates a number of major and minor changes to the SunType system. Here are some of the highlights of the release:  

• Adds fields for Email Address and FAX number to account records.

• Makes Email and FAX fields available to Report Generator and Ad Entry functions.

• Encrypts all stored credit card numbers within the database to prevent access to them except using the SunType program.

• Eliminates storage of CVV Code as required by credit card industry policies.

• Adds Re-aging and STImport functions to the Maintenance and Error Recovery

• Menu and removes Dictionary Maintenance, which is no longer supported.

• Eliminates comma requirement for extracting City, State and Zip code fields from address records.

• Adds Editions and EditionsList fields to Open Item Invoice headers for reporting, to allow reporting of payments and adjustments by edition for Open Item customers.

• Adds NoDetail test to account-based reports in Report Generator to allow listing of inactive accounts prior to purging.

• Allows HTML module to pass less-than (<) and straight quotes through so HREF codes can be embedded in ad copy to create live links on Web.

• Carries forward a number of changes and additions distributed on a preliminary basis with late 4.2 versions.

• Eliminates support for Power Credit and Atomic Authorizer for on-line credit card authorization. Products currently supported are PCCharge Payment Server and ICVerify for real-time credit card processing from SunType.
